We don't have to go to Washington D.C. to restore honor to our republic. We can restore honor to our nation by cleaning up the corruption in our own backyards. All across this country, decent people in rural communities are besieged by corrupt officials who are nothing more than big fish in small ponds. It's one thing to join the faceless masses in protest; It's quite another to stand in the face of homegrown tyranny. For many rural Americans, the risk is great. Yet, stand we must. Tyranny, like charity, begins at home.

Last year, I was roundly criticized for suggesting that the new Smart Grid was going to be used by the government to spy on Americans. I was laughed at, called stupid, and someone even left a comment claiming that my article was nothing more than "tom foolery." Well, who's laughing now?  Smart Grid is about to go online, and your privacy and freedom of choice is about to go into the garbage, literally.

Shirley Sherrod is a racist. Her whole family is racist. Forget that the mainstream media, FOX News included, cut into programing to cover a lame presser with USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack and his former employee Shirley Sherod. I'm sure listening to a dyed-in-the-wool hate monger like Shirley Sherrod turn down a position carved out especially for her is as important as any world issue. But, to portray her as a dedicated public servant who was unfairly attacked by Breitbart is wrong.

Below is a video of her husband's latest racist rant. Maybe, like Obama who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church without realizing he was a racist, poor Shirley (Vilsack actually called her that) just doesn't know that her husband is a raging hater. Hey, if it could happen to Obama, it could happen to anyone, right?

So, how do you get away with sickening thousands of people? Simple. All you have to do is become a corporate farmer like our pal Austin Jackson DeCoster. While the mainstream media and blogs want to tell you all about the outrage of millions of eggs contaminated with salmonella, they've left out some significant information, not the least of which is how the government agencies that employ thousands of people to protect the American public from this exact nightmare scenario failed miserably.

I just couldn't resist sharing this with my fellow patriots. Everyone needs a good laugh to start the weekend.

Something's wrong here. That's the thought that preceded a moment of clarity that swept over me as I watched my last Glenn Beck show. The feeling grew from a small sense of imbalance to a full-blown realization, a moment of clarity that was as profound as I've ever experienced. We have been deceived.

Tyranny not only runs rampant in the Beltway and urban areas, the terrorization of rural citizens has reached monumental proportions. One only needs to look at Taylor County, Wisconsin, to see the official bullying and coercion that goes on across the country every day. Let's start with voter intimidation.

Remeber Barrack Obama's promise that if you like your insurance you could keep it under the new healthcare reform package? Or, how about the promise that he wasn't trying to destroy insurance companies? Or what about the one that he wants to bolster a free-market economy? Well, according to a press release from HHS, absolutely none of what he said is true. Big surprise, huh?

Yesterday, the Department of Health and Human Services announced $46 million in grants to states to help them get a boot on the throat of those mean ol' profit-making insurance companies. The money is going to help states choke the life out of the free market system, and the first victim is the insurance industry:

Just in case you're wondering how much more of your tax dollars the Obama Administration can dole out to their corporate buddies, I thought I'd share with you some of the ridiculous and downright useless projects the USDA is funding with your hard-earned cash. Here are just a few:

The decline of Anglo-American culture began, some would argue, with the 1954 Supreme Court decision, declaring forced segregation unconstitutional in the ruling we all know as Brown v. Board of Education. While the decision rightly ended forced segregation, it did nothing to integrate schools and neighborhoods. Like today, neighborhoods remained naturally segregated by race. There were Black neighborhoods, Chinese neighborhoods, Jewish neighborhoods, Hispanic neighborhoods, and Anglo neighborhoods. Little changed, until 1971 when the Supreme Court, stepped way over its bounds and affirmed the forced busing of Anglo children into Black neighborhoods for the purpose of enforcing the radical left's race-based social agenda. Forty-years later, we see what an abysmal failure this policy has been.
